college.gifOn Sunday, February 10, 2008 at 2PM “College Goal Sunday” will be held at Rufus King High School.  College Goal Sunday is a nationwide event that assists high school Seniors and their families complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), the essential first step to receiving financial aid and going to college. The FAFSA opens the door to potential cash for college.  Sure the FAFSA form can be confusing, but with a little help, you can complete the application in less than an hour.  College Goal Sunday is free.  Financial aid professionals will walk you through the process step-by-step. 

Students should attend with their parent or guardian if possible.  They should bring: their parents’, as well as their own completed( if possible) federal income tax return for 2007, W-2 statements and other 2007 income and/or benefits information.  If parents are unable to attend, students may attend alone and bring this information.  Independent students may bring just their own income and asset information.
