Taking a testThe Advanced Placement program is designated to give students advance courses in which they may earn college credit based on their performance on a standardized exam.

However, unlike IB there is no special diploma awarded for participation in AP because most advanced courses at King are part of the IB program. AP is not meant to complete with but rather to complement and supplement IB.

There is one AP course, AP American Government & Politics. This course prepares students for the IB Global and Americas course and is recommended as a Pre-IB course in 10th grade.
