Jim Gosz is in his 15th year as head boys' basketball coach. During his tenure, the Generals have amassed a sparkling 292-44 record, winning four WIAA Division 1 state championships and placing second on two other occasions. During that time, King captured eight Milwaukee City Conference championships and had a 52 game conference winning streak. In addition, 18 players have gone on to play at the Division 1 or 2 level and one in the NBA.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel named him their area "Coach of the Year" in 1995 and again in 2003.
King finished the 2003 and 2004 seasons ranked by USA Today among the top 25 high schools in the nation. The Generals were ranked as high as # 4 last year by that newspaper. |
