In the early 1990s, the lady who found the ring visited King to scan a number of annuals but the office was unable to help her locate the ring's owner. The Good Samaritan contacted the school office again (August 2003) and they gave her my phone number. After a short ten minutes, I was able to locate the grad on the 1989 Festa Fling All-School Reunion address list -- there was only one grad with those initials in that year.

Although the grad had moved from Milwaukee, the family was easy to locate via the Internet. The Good Samaritan, a 1959 Riverside grad, immediately phoned the gradís home but was saddened to learn the grad was now in a nursing home. The grad's husband asked if the Good Samaritan would mind contacting a daughter who lived in Jackson, Wisconsin. As if this story is not strange enough, the Good Samaritan currently lives in Jackson, Wisconsin too. A couple of days after contacting the daughter, a very happy young woman showed up on the Good Samaritan's doorstep with a flower arrangement and explained how happy she was to have her mom's Rufus King Class Ring.

According to the grad's daughter, the family had lived in the same house as the Good Samaritan but moved when the daughter was about two years old. About five years later, the Good Samaritan purchased the house. I hope you enjoyed reading this as much as the Good Samaritan enjoyed locating the ringís owner.
