There will be an informational meeting today from 3-4. We will talk about the plans for the year including Homecoming and the Hispanic Heritage Month Program. The doors will be closed at exactly 3pm so please be on time.

Attention all students.  Today is the last day to pick up schedule change forms.  Tomorrow is the last day any schedule change forms may be submitted and they require parent signatures so must be picked up by today.  Thank You.

Attention all students! The Gay/Straight Alliance is a student organization which seeks to: create safe environments at Rufus King for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning and queer-identified students (LGBTQ), students with parents who are LGBTQ, and their allies; educate the school community about heterosexism, homophobia, gender identity, and sexism; and fight discrimination, oppression, harassment, and violence in our school.

The GSA will host its kick-off meeting on Thursday, September 2, immediately after school in room 306! All interested students are welcome to attend! Please see Ms. Daroszeski or Mr. Cullison for details.

If you are a Rufus King junior or senior and you would like to help increase the peace, please consider auditioning to be a Peer Mediator. Stop by Room 308 any day after school to pick up the audition materials and sign up for an audition. Auditions will be held Thursday, September 2nd. You must sign up to audition and audition forms are posted outside of Room 308. Please see Ms. O'Keefe-Boettcher with any questions, concerns, or upsets.
