Well then YOU should join Amnesty International, a dedicated group of King students who are passionate about human rights and take action to better our global community. Join us at our informational meeting immediately after school, Wednesday September 1st in Room 306 until 4pm. Refreshments will be served. Get involved in the movement! Together we can STAND UP for Human Rights for ALL people!
On Saturday the Girls' JV Tennis Team won the St. Francis Quad. Coming in first place for the Lady Generals were Katie Sovey at # 1 singles, Katrina Tate at # 2 singles, and Damondria Rushing and Shontay Anders at # 3 doubles. Coming in second place were Briona Conway at # 2 singles, and Pachee Xiong and Pahoua Vang at # 2 doubles. Great Job Ladies!
This weekend the Varsity soccer team led by senior captains Corey Cathey, Holden Sherer, and Forrest Elliott competed in the Cudahy Classic. They beat Cudahy 4 to 1 and a very strong Wisconsin Lutheran 2 to 1 to get to the finals, where they would meet area ranked Oak Creek. Oak Creek scored early but that didn't stop the Generals. Senior sensation Corey Cathey had a goal in each game but his most important goal was the game tying against Oak Creek with only 7 minutes remaining to send the game to penalty kicks. Unfortunately this wasn't the story book ending and the Generals lost 4 to 2 in the penalty shootout and settled for second place. Special shoutouts go to Owen Jardaneh, Chris Bauer, and Raed Atshan for their strong efforts. Good Job boys keep up the hard work!!!
